Our Aim
Our aim is to combine a media campaign with a community-based programme of education and prevention as a collaborative initiative between those facilitating and those attending nightlife settings:
To raise awareness of nightlife risks and promote safer practices.
To encourage reduction in risk-taking behaviours.
To encourage responsible behavior and positive social attitudes.
To educate about the risks of alcohol and substance use.
To improve capacity to respond to safety concerns in nightlife settings.

Take a look at some recent findings from a survey conducted by our team.
67% of people have felt unsafe on a night out.
35% of people have witnessed spiking on a night out.
Now here are some insights from the experiences shared by our survey participants.
"I was injected this time last year on a night out and collapsed in the bathroom of the pub. Thankfully the security were so helpful."
"As a woman, I'm very aware of the dangers of drugs and assault. I know people who have been drugged and hurt. My friends have been sexually assaulted. I haven't had anything serious happen to me, but I'm scared to walk home alone."
"People getting spiked while drinking on the night or taking some bad drugs cut with god knows what."

In our survey we asked:
What advice would you give others about how to enjoy a trouble-free night out?
"Know your limits, stick with people you know and keep an eye on your drink."
"Always let someone know where you are or who you are with and always have a lift home organised"
"Be extremely aware of your surroundings, look after each other, cover your drink walking through crowds and not to ever leave them unattended"
"Use the buddy system. Don’t leave drunk friends behind. Keep your drink on you at all times. Have a plan for being collected to go home. Let people know where you’re going and when you’ll be back. Don’t go off on your own."
